Monty wont walk at all

Roxie hides under her bed

Jasper has to have a ball 
In his mouth

And Toby licks your legs 
Any chance he gets

Poets in the park
Whispering
Words to the trees
Through microphones
At differing stages
Cicadas vibrate their abdomens
And helicopters crash back at the pad
When an isolated stanza
Snatched to analyze adds
To the confusion
The bored drawl of all these Yankees
Exhaled as sighs
And eloquent wistfulness
Twists in the ever
